Proving competence, ability
and qualification is frequently the difference between success and
failure, not only for individuals seeking employment, but also for
employers seeking business with their clients.
Proving the credentials in
terms of corporate competency and management, together with the
competency of a workforce in terms of skills and experience, is
often a deciding factor in securing a contract award.
Across numerous sectors workers
have to demonstrate their professional development, occupational
competence or 'trade ability', and a supplementary range of skills
such as health and safety awareness, manual handling, food hygiene,
first aid and operating licences etc., to meet the requirements of
the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, in
terms of competent employees.
Typically, a worker on a
construction site may have up to a dozen certificates, licences and
passports in order to work. If competency can be proven, the
employer then satisfies the Construction (Design & Management)
Regulations 2015, as well as the 'Client.'
Many of the awards held by an
individual carry a limited validity, and therefore, have to be
revalidated. Frequently, this is overlooked or missed by the
individual and the employer, resulting in potential non compliances
and enforced downtime, until training has been conducted.
The loss and damage of
certification also causes problems, requiring the expensive
re-issue of awards, as well as probable downtime.
Keeping track of certification can
be problematic to both individuals and employers
Applying for new work for many
individuals, and many businesses, can involve the generation,
collation and postage of multiple copies of cv's certificates,
qualifications and references etc.
QUALPASS can alleviate
these problems; simplify the process and improve efficiency, for
both the employer and the individual.
